Emerge Gallery and Art Center, The Schwa Show, Blue Man Grouper

“Blue Man Grouper” is whimsical in its title and imagery. However, its message addresses pollution, asking what if air pollution gets so horrible that humans must learn to live under water – not that our waters are all that much better.

Foundry Art Centre, Global Impact – Wake of COVID, Hands

Due to COVID 19 we must wash our hands more often and more thoroughly, we must be conscious of keeping them clean and COVID free. What a chore! And it is a scary time.

Stuck at home? Or we can use our hands to make opportunities to do projects that have been put off until we have more time, call friends we have not talked to for a while and create spaces where it is safe to visit in person.

The Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles, MO has produced an exhibit addressing this frustrating issue.

World Chess Hall of Fame, Featured Chess Set, Travel Chess Set

August is Bell Pepper month, appropriate timing for Travel Chess Set to be the Featured Set at the WCHOF – not sure how to pronounce that. We call it the Chess Museum, a small gem in the West End neighborhood of St. Louis.

Viridian Gallery, 28th St, NYC, Silhouette

One hit wonder to have work in a New York City gallery – who knows – but I am thrilled! Viridian Gallery was posted on our MoFA Facebook page. So I gave it a try. Silhouette is in their virtual exhibit, Sanguine Expectations. Additional pieces of my work are on their artist’s page.

Saint Louis Artists’ Guild is Open!

Today is the day, June 19, Saint Louis Artists’ Guild has opened its doors to “Clearly Human IV”. This exhibit has been waiting to open – come take a look. Hours are on the website.

Kacey Cowdery’s fiber art wearable is shown in this all media show. Fiber art is making inroads!

Foundry Arts Centre – Context III

Look closely to see silk thread weaving and micro crochet.

Levi Sherman is the juror for this exhibit. Perhaps we can hear him speak at the Foundry. Context III runs through June 19. Maybe we will be out of quarantine?

Foundry Arts Centre – Voting Daughters

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Foundry has postponed a reception. A closing reception is planned, the date not yet determined.

Since this post was made on March 16, 2020, The Foundry Arts Centre has closed until further notice. Check the website. We would all like to be out and about seeing all the wonderful art that is usually in our lives. Safety first!
